I added the eSim a few days before leaving Australia.
I activated it when the plane touched down in Haneda and was online before we parked up at the arrival gate.
Currently on a Princess Cruise around Japan and have had 100% coverage.

Inserted the sim and it was working within minutes. The app didn't download on my android but the sign in through chrome works well. The Sim changes as soon as you reach a new country and you get messages. Displays the data left on the Sim card. Bought in Australia and working in Europe 😉
